The Bateyes are rural sugarcane communities in the Dominican Republic, often populated by Haitian immigrants and their descendants. Life here is marked by extreme poverty, legal marginalization, and lack of access to basic services.
Chosen Nation Ministries International has an active, long-term presence in several Batey communities.
Conduct outreach to build relationships with families and offer consistent care and prayer
Distribute essential items like food, clothing, hygiene products, and baby care kits
Run programs for children, including Bible lessons, meals, and school supply distributions
Empower local leaders to take ownership of their community’s development and spiritual health
